Jobs @ Interbrite
Interbrite Communications holds the privacy and security of our clients and site visitors in the highest regard. The following information explains what kind of information is gathered on our site and how that information is used.
Information we collect
We collect no personally identifiable information about our visitors unless they chose to provide it through one of the contact methods found in our contact section or by placing an order for one or more of our products and/or services.
We do collect certain non-personally identifiable information when you visit our website, including the IP address of the computer you are using to access the site, the type and version of your browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Netscape), the computer's operating system (e.g. Microsoft Windows, Macintosh OS), and from which web page (if any) you were referred to our site.
How we use this information
We use the information that you provide to fulfill your requests for services or information, or in order to bill you for products and services that you purchase from us. We may also use your contact information to notify you of important information about the services that we provide you. Non-identifiable information is used to analyze site usage in order to better understand our users and to make improvements to the site, as well as to track suspicious activity that occurs on our site, including, but not limited to suspicions of fraud and computer abuse.
Information is kept on file for as long as is necessary to complete a request, or for as long as you remain our customer. In the event that Interbrite Communications is acquired by another company it is understood that all customer records, including the personal information contained in those records, will be transfered to the acquiring company.
Some services, such as domain name registrations and SSL certificates are provided by partner companies on our behalf. In such cases, we will pass only that information which is necessary to process your order on to the third party. While we try to chose partners that have similar privacy policies to ours, we cannot be responsible for how our partners use your information.
Domain name registration customers please note that the contact details (including, but not limited to, your name, address, telephone and fax number, and email address) that you provide when registering your domain name will be publicly viewable through the global registry's WHOIS interface. This is a requirement of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the body that oversees all domain registrations, in order to make it easy to find contact information in relation to claims of fraud or abuse. If you have concerns about this information being available, we recommend listing a less identifiable address (such as a P.O. Box) on your domain registration.
We will disclose information we maintain when required to do so by law, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena. We also may disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency's request.
Except as noted above, we do not sell, rent, or loan any contact information, including email or postal addresses, to anyone.
Information we collect from children under the age of 13
We do not market to children under the age of 13, and therefore we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. In the event that we have unknowingly collected information from a child under the age of 13, that child's parent or guardian may contact us and we will remove all records of that child from our systems.
